2021 Speakers' Biography

Vanessa Hamm

Having lived in more than 38 places across 6 countries, Vanessa M Hamm is engaging, adventurous and exceptionally gifted in bridging the gap of what is and what could be. Working alongside global and local government, business, non-profit- and her own entrepreneurial efforts for 15+ years- Vanessa has been stopped in her tracks 3 times by anxiety, injury and unresolved trauma from her past. Until, at 25, Christ fought for her life. Now she joyfully approaches life from a place of increased wholeness, purpose and freedom!

Sr. John Thomas, O.P.

Sr. John Thomas Armour, O.P. grew up on a farm in Kansas in a family of 12. She graduated from the University of Dallas in 2001 and, after a year working in Rome, entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. She has been missioned in Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas, and Minnesota and loves teaching middle school, reading Newman and Aquinas, and playing ultimate Frisbee., 

Dr. Julia Gomez, M.D.

Julia Gomez, MD is a Family Practice Physician with Sterling Primary Care at Centennial Hospital and been in Practice for nearly 20 years. She celebrates 27 years of marriage to her husband Joe and has 2 sons, Kevin and Gregory.  She is a parishioner of Christ the King where she has served as a medical consultant during Covid19.  She is an active member of the CMA, supporting the Vanderbilt medical students and promoting her Catholic faith.
