Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
University Catholic holds Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati as our model for living the Christian life. He was a handsome, fun-loving, athletic college student who was born into a prominent Italian family. But most importantly, he was a devout Catholic who courageously put his faith in the forefront of all he did.
It wasn’t until he died at the young age of 24 that his family discovered the charitable life that Pier Giorgio lived. Beatified in 1990 by Pope John Paul II and named “The Man of the Beatitudes,” Pier Giorgio teaches us that holiness is for everyone.
